Who is Cam Toews?

MY BACKGROUND

Personal

I grew up on a farm near the village of Cartwright in southern Manitoba. I am second youngest in a large
family. We were raised helping with chores but had plenty of time for fun. Though I enjoyed the small
town life, in 2002 I decided to leave and started in Real Estate in Brandon. At the time I thought this was
a large place, but now I know many people here and love the "town with big-city clothes on". I have a
daughter Mackenzie born in 2002.

Professional

I have been in Real Estate with Century 21 Westman Realty since May 2002. It has been an awesome time,
meeting more people than I ever could have imagined, and many clients who have become very good friends.
I grew up on a mixed farm in southern Manitoba leaving at 17 to start a career in carpentry, which I did
for approximately 8 years. I also spent 5 years building custom kitchens and furniture which has become a
life-long hobby. I obtained my Class 1A driver's licence at age 19 and did a few short stints driving trucks,
that was very enjoyable for me as I love to travel and see the country. I feel my history in construction
allows me knowledge of homes and their quality of them.

Personal Interests

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

I believe volunteering is very important. One of my local favourites in the Westman Dreams for Kids, a couple of our agents sponsor a hole at their annual golf tournament. It is always a very enjoyable day and we get to connect with a lot of people, all while helping a very good cause. In 2011 I was involved in starting the Annual Easter Seals Send a Kid to Camp Bonspiel. To date, we have raised over $134,000.

SPECIALTIES

Residential Real Estate is my main focus with some Commercial as well. I have worked with a lot of first-time buyers, knowing that these relationships can last a lifetime. Although we don't have designated areas, I do work in the Brandon area and within approximately 50 km. That being said, I have gone outside of that area on occasion. If I feel that a property is too far out of my range, I have relationships with many agents in those areas ready and capable to help, as well as being able to refer you agents in other parts of Canada and the world.
